Are ebooks BS? Not with today's tools...
Digital products are thriving, and AI is making some creators rich on Instagram
A few months ago, I learned about a hidden way to generate online profits. Basically, it goes like this:
Create a niche TikTok or Instagram channel
Write a short PDF that solves one problem related to the niche
Drop the link the bio
Watch sales roll in
I thought it was crazy at first. But here me out.
Creators like Niklas Pedde and Ewan Davies use this method to make multiple six-figures. (For the record, I’m not affiliated with either of them, but I wanted to give you the links so you can see some successful entrepreneurs to inspire you.)
Now look, the process takes some effort. But with new AI tools, you can make it much easier than replicating the process manually.
So today, we’re going to dive into a writing tool that could help you create a business like this. I’ll show you step by step what you would need to do to hopefully make it work for you.
The Tool
We’ll focus on an AI writing tool called WriteSonic.
WriteSonic is a comprehensive platform designed to streamline your content creation process. From crafting engaging blog posts and articles to generating persuasive marketing copy and eye-catching ads, WriteSonic has got you covered.
Couldn’t we just use ChatGPT for this?
Yes, but the difference is WriteSonic is specifically designed to produce copy. So it works well for creating compelling, short ebooks we can sell.
Here's what makes WriteSonic stick out:
AI Article Writer: This feature allows you to generate high-quality articles on virtually any topic with just a few clicks.
Paraphraser: Repurpose existing content or give your writing a fresh perspective with WriteSonic's paraphrasing tool. It helps you reword text while maintaining its original meaning, saving you time and effort. Super powerful for creating landing pages!
Turning AI Ebooks into Cash
The method we’re going to look at is a variation on selling digital products. Think digital products are dead?
No. It’s a huge industry. Ebooks are projected to generate global revenue of over $15B by 2027, according to Statista.
If that sounds like an absolute goldmine you’d like to cash in on, keep reading.
Here’s how entrepreneurs like the guys above make money with AI and social media to make money while they sleep. This method is all about providing valuable information in a concise and easily digestible format, helping your audience solve their problems.
Step 0: Get WriteSonic
You’ll need this soon, for creating your ebooks.
Step 1: Identify a Profitable Niche
Start by identifying a niche with a high demand for quick, effective solutions. This could be anything from parenting and personal finance to health and fitness or specific hobbies and interests.
If you need help with this, you might want to check out this X post I wrote about using Reddit to find audience problems.
Use WriteSonic's AI Article Writer to brainstorm content ideas within your chosen niche.
Step 2: Create Problem-Solving Digital Products
Instead of lengthy ebooks, focus on creating concise, problem-solving digital guides in PDF format. These guides should provide actionable advice and valuable insights on specific topics within your niche.
Leverage WriteSonic to generate the content for your PDFs. Use prompts like "10 Proven Strategies to Improve Your Child's Focus" or "The Ultimate Guide to Budgeting for Beginners".
Price your product in the $20-$40 range. You can make a more expensive product later, and if you get people on your email list when they buy the lower-ticket item, you can sell the more expensive product to them in the future.
Step 3: Craft Compelling Sales Materials
Write engaging product descriptions that highlight the benefits of your PDFs and clearly explain how they solve specific problems for your target audience.
Create a TikTok or Instagram account all about your topic.
For example, if your product is about fitness, dedicate an account just to viral fitness videos
Step 4: Market and Sell Your Digital Products
Create a simple website or landing page to showcase your PDFs and offer them for sale using Stan Store (14-day free trial) or a similar tool. Add all your product benefits mentioned in step 3.
Create attention-grabbing videos that you can share on platforms like TikTok or Instagram.
You can either use WriteSonic to write scripts for you, if you like being on camera, or
If you hate that idea, just do what a lot of successful accounts do: copy people.
You can repost other people’s videos by cutting up clips from YouTube and adding effects, new sounds, etc. to make them unique.
Need a tool for that? Consider using Opus Pro.
Speaking of niche theme pages…
Creator Kunal Shah says he scaled from zero to 1.5 million followers, earning $500k+, without showing his face. Learn the exact process for creating, growing, and monetizing theme pages around your interests - from entrepreneurship to beauty. Just requires your phone and WiFi. Check out Instagram Theme Page Mastery to get started.
Step 5: Scale and Diversify Your Offerings
Drop the link to your landing page in your TikTok or Instagram Bio.
As you make more videos, you should start to see people clicking on your link and hopefully buying your product.
Once you've established a successful workflow, use WriteSonic to create multiple PDFs tailored to different niches or problems, expanding your product range and increasing your earning potential.
You might also consider incorporating affiliate marketing into your strategy. Promote relevant products or services within your PDFs and earn commissions on sales generated through your affiliate links.
Wrap Up
This strategy is fairly simple to carry out, although it will take work, especially in the beginning. But the rewards could be well worth it.
Remember: if people have specific problems that you can solve, you can make money providing the solution. And people will always have problems.
With tools like WriteSonic, or even more well-known ones like ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok, it is easier than ever before to do audience research, find problems to solve, and write up compelling solutions that sell for $20-$50 a pop.
